Fees are assessed at the time of the visit, including a $25 rabies vaccine fee and a licensing fee of $22 for sterilized pets or $55 for intact pets.

Additionally, Arizona state law requires all dogs over three months of age that reside within Maricopa County for at least thirty consecutive days each calendar year to be licensed and vaccinated.

Regarding adoption, when you adopt a dog or cat from MCACC, they provide a list of valley veterinarians who offer a free health check within 10 days of adoption. However, MCACC does not have veterinary staff available to provide medical help once a pet is adopted.

It's important to note that MCACC does not provide spay/neuter services to owned animals but partners with several groups to offer these services.
